Adidas Launching Next Phase Of "Me, Myself" With Candace Parker

May 26, 2009: Adidas in July will launch the online and POP segment of its "Me, Myself" campaign with Candace Parker and three young athletes who were selected from among thousands of entries to appear with the WNBA star. The three women - Katie Genther, a 20-year-old gymnast and student at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich.; Haley Billings a 15-year-old freshman at Redlands East Valley High School in Calif; and Vittoria Poole, a freshman at Lake Region State College in North Dakota - flew to Los Angeles in April to do the "Me, Myself" campaign photo shoot with Parker. The POP will appear nationally in such locations as Dick's Sporting Goods, Sports Chalet, Hibbett Sports and Scheel's stores, as well as online at www.Shopadidas.com. The effort supports adidas' recently launched women's training collection. In addition to appearing in the campaign, the three women each also received a $500 Visa gift card. Creative follows the direction of the main campaign, with a collage of each athlete both on and off the playing field, plus an inspirational quote. Katie's statement: "Sharing my passion for gymnastics with kids inspires me to never stop believing." Vittoria: "Some underestimate my ability to compete in this 5' foot frame. Parker, whose husband Shelden Williams of the Minnesota Timberwolves, gave birth to her first child, a girl, earlier this month and is expected to miss most if not all of the 2009 WNBA season, which begins June 6.
