WHAT YOU SAY!?

“I’m true to the game, and I know what I bring to the table. I came back for a reason. I came back to bring a championship to our city. I knew what I was capable of doing. I knew what I learned in the last couple years that I was gone, and I knew if I had to — when I came back, I knew I had the right ingredients and the right blueprint to help this franchise get back to a place that we’ve never been. That’s what it was all about.” — LeBron James after leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2015-16 NBA title

Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.

Wozniacki Faulters At L.A. Tennis But Scores With Adidas

August 9, 2009: Caroline Wozniacki, the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour's 2008 Newcomer of the Year and No. 8 ranked women's player in the world, has been named the face and marketing spokesperson for a line of performance clothing and accessories from adidas designed by Stella McCartney. Wozniacki will wear the apparel during the U.S. Open in New York, which begins Aug. 31 and runs through Sept. 13. The line includes a performance dress that features adidas Climalite technology, a performance hot pant and bra in smoked pink and the Image Jacket in dark grape. She will also wear the Skynde shoe in seed pearl, dark grape and white. The shoe is based on adidas' Barricade V tooling, which provides a mix of midfoot stability, flexibility and cushioning for maximum comfort.

Wozniacki plans for better results at the U.S. Open than she had at the L.A. Women's Tennis Championships presented by Herbalife this past week, where she was the No. 4 seed but was eliminated prior to the round of 16 by Sorana Cirstea (who in turn lost to Samantha Stosur in the semifinals). Wozniacki, who celebrated her 19th birthday in July, also had the opportunity to meet David Beckham and other members of the Los Angeles Galaxy, who list Herbalife as one of their main sponsors. Wozniacki also has sponsorship deals with such companies as BMW and Sony Ericsson. Her titles over the past year include the MPS Group Championship and the Pilot Pen Tennis championship.

The adidas McCartney fall/winter 09 tennis collection hits retail this month including at such retailers as Lane Crawford, Isetan, Harrods, Holt Renfrew and Nordstrom as well as adidas online stores, adidas Sport Performance stores and select sports retailers worldwide. “It’s very rare for a fashion designer to dress one of the top 10 players in the world," McCartney said in a statement. "I couldn't be more thrilled and happy to be given that opportunity. Let's hope this will enhance her performance!!” Back to Home Page
