Sports-Entertainment Giant AEG Teams With Wal-Mart For Miley Cyrus Tour

June 3, 2009: AEG Live, the live-entertainment division of Los Angeles-based AEG, said that it would present the upcoming national tour of Miley Cyrus, with Wal-Mart as the title sponsor. Concert tour plans were unveiled in conjunction with the introduction of a low-cost apparel and accessories line, Miley Cyrus & Max Azria of apparel house BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP. The clothing line will be exclusive to Wal-Mart and Walmart.com beginning in August, with all items priced under $20. Support will include print, online and POP. AEG Worldwide owns or operates such sports teams, arenas and facilities as the Los Angeles Kings (NHL) and Galaxy (MLS), Staples Center in Los Angeles, FedExForum in Memphis, and London's 02 Arena. “Our launch of the Miley Cyrus & Max Azria line continues our strategy of engaging customers across categories," John Fleming, evp and chief merchandising officer at Wal-Mart U.S., said in a statement. “This time, we're bringing together a leading entertainer and a top apparel house to bring exciting product and price leadership to our customers."
