Like Uncles, Like Nephew: Arch Manning Signs NIL Endorsement Deal With Panini

UPDATED July 29, 2023: 1-of-1 Arch Manning Throwback Prizm Black Autographed card went for $102,500 in an auction that closed tonight.
July 25, 2023: Following on the path of his famous, athletic and endorsement-laden uncles Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, Arch Manning has signed what was called his first and only NIL deal to date, joining the roster of exclusive athletes at Panini America.
The multi-year alliance with Panini America includes exclusive autographed trading cards.
Financial terms were not released.
To help launch the partnership, Panini and Manning have released Manning’s first Panini trading card — the 1-of-1 Arch Manning Throwback Prizm Black Autographed card — to be auctioned off beginning today (July 25) and concluding July 29.
The winning bidder will also “receive a special meet-and-greet experience with Arch Manning, catch passes with the University of Texas freshman quarterback and have the opportunity to be a part of the check presentation to the beneficiary of the funds raised through the auction.”
On the first day, bidding topped $60,000. (Details here.)
Panini America said 100% of proceeds from the sale of the Manning Prizm card would benefit children and their families in Central Texas with support from St. David’s HealthCare and St. David’s Foundation.
A promo spot shows Manning signing the card and explaining the alliance and the auction.
“Getting my first Panini trading card is something I couldn’t have imagined growing up,” Manning said via Panini America.
“Working with Panini to have my first trading card benefit the larger community is special. Helping children live healthy and fulfilling lives is something that has always been important to my family.”
Moving forward, Manning will be included in Panini’s Collegiate and NIL trading card products.
Panini and Manning will also collaborate to “develop unique Arch Manning NIL cards each season throughout the agreement.”
Panini will feature Manning in select marketing activations.
In addition to his uncles, he is the grandson of former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and the son of Cooper Manning.
“Arch Manning is an outstanding addition to the Panini family, and we are proud to serve as his first and only NIL partner,” Jason Howarth, Panini America svp-marketing and athlete relations, said via the company.
“We couldn’t be more pleased that our first activity together will go toward such a worthy cause. We look forward to working with Arch on many other exciting initiatives in the years to come.”
Manning joins Panini America exclusive athletes including Luka Doncic, Charles Barkley, David Beckham, Christian Pulisic, Kylian Mbappe, his current University of Texas teammate and fellow quarterback Quinn Ewers, and recent NBA Draft picks Amen and Ausar Thompson.
