BNP Paribas Open Ready To Serve The Stars At ATP-WTA Masters 1000 Tournament

March 4, 2024: With three of the iconic Big Four men’s tennis stars from the past two decades scheduled to play, the 2024 edition of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Calif., should be an event to remember.
The combined ATP Tour-Holgoic WTA Tour Masters 1000 tournament has on its roster Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray — with only the retired Roger Federer missing — along with defending men’s champion Carlos Alvarez and most of the Top 50 men’s ranked players.
Nadal, with 22 Grand Slam wins and three Indian Wells titles (2007, 2009, 2013), missed the 2023 BNP Paribas Open and most of the year due to injuries and rehab.
World No. 1 and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic returns to Indian Wells for the first time since 2019, seeking a record-setting sixth title (2008, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016) to break a tie with Federer.
The women include World No. 1 Iga Swiatak, No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka, No. 3 Coco Gauff, defending women’s champ and No. 4 Elena Rybakina, No. 5 ranked Jessica Pegula and four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka.
Wild-card entries include 2021 U.S. Open Champion Emma Raducanu, former World No. 1 and seven-time Grand Slam singles champion Venus Williams, former World No. 1 ranked Caroline Wozniacki, former World No.1 Karolina Pliskova, Paula Badosa (the 2021 Indian Wells winner) and Amanda Anisimova.
Tennis Channel and its platforms will cover the tournament (March 3-17). Tennis Channel has added recently retired American stars John Isner and CoCo Vandeweghe to its on-air team at the BNP Paribas Open.
The Indian Wells event will now offer a total of $19 million in total prize money
More than $1 money in additional prize money was added in 2024 “dedicated to supporting players across both Tours in singles qualifying through second rounds of the tournament.”
The total financial commitment at Indian Wells is $9,258,080 each for the ATP and Hologic WTA Tour.
The Men’s and Women’s Champion will each earn $1,100,000.
The Men’s and Women’s runners-up will each earn $585,000.

The 2024 event will include a major schedule on March 14 featuring all eight ATP and WTA singles quarterfinal matches.
This will be the first ATP-related event with Saudi Arabia’s PIF under a just-signed a five-year alliance that will see PIF become the official naming partner of the ATP Rankings, with players seeking year-end No. 1 ranking, presented by PIF, crowned at the Nitto ATP Finals, which will be held in Turin, Italy thru 2025.
PIF will also partner with ATP Tour events in Miami, Madrid and Beijing.
In addition to BNP Paribas and PIF, partners and sponsors include BMW, Corona, Emirates, Fila, Masimo, Motorola, NetJets, Pepsi and Rolex.
Top-ranked men’s and women’s stars are scheduled to compete for the second consecutive year in the 2024 Eisenhower Cup Presented By Masimo — a one-night Tie Break Tens event at the BNP Paribas Open scheduled for March 5.
The 2024 Eisenhower Cup will feature eight pairings competing in a mixed doubles format to raise money for local charities.
Officially launched during the 2023 French Open, the "Points for Change” campaign sponsored by BNP Paribas is now active at all professional tournaments — including the BNP Paribas Open.
Every point scored during these tournaments will be turned into donations to benefit local associations promoting education and inclusion through sport. This year, the proceeds from the points scored at the BNP Paribas Open will be donated to the non-profit, Girls on the Run.
BNP Paribas also supports Félix Auger-Aliassime (ATP World No. 29) "in his commitment to building a better future for youth in the West-African nation of Togo, his father’s home country."
Auger-Aliassime has pledged to donate $5 for each point he wins during the tournament and BNP Paribas will match with $15 per point. The money raised will finance the EduChange initiative, which is coordinated by CARE, a non-governmental organization, to improve the conditions of young people in the Kara region of Togo.
