March 4, 2014: The NBA's Kevin Love has found a drink to go with his Taco Bell XXL Steak Nachos.
The All-Star forward from the Minnesota Timberwolves has signed a deal with premium sports drink BodyArmor to become an endorser, partner and investor.
Financial terms of the pact were not disclosed.
"Excited to join the BodyArmour SuperDrink team," Love wrote on his Twitter account. "Best sports drink out there."
Love's signing comes on the heels of a similar endorsement with James Harden of the Houston Rockets, who joined the company last week as the brand's first official NBA endorser.
BodyArmor will support the alliance with multi-media, including such social media destinations as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
In its quest to challenge Gatorade and others in the sports drink category, Body Armor's roster of athletes also includes Andrew Luck, Buster Posey, Mike Trout, LeSean McCoy and Rob Gronkowski.
In a campaign spot to introduce the alliance, Loves talks about his basketball upbringing ("Having a father who played in the NBA [Stan Love], I can remember wanting to play basketball in my crib and when I could first walk."), his ultimate dream opponent one-on-one for a full game (Larry Bird), his hero ("My Dad") and what he does during the off-season to stay in shape ("Biomechanics, yoga, weight-lifting, basketball, massages and the proper nutrition.")

Love, now in his sixth season with Minnesota and a member of the USA Basketball national team roster that is targeting the 2016 Summer Olympics, currently appears in a Taco Bell spot for XXL Steak Nachos.
Love's uncle is Mike Love, one of the founding member of The Beach Boys.
