• Manchester United has signed a multi-year deal with Marriott International, with multi-platform marketing including access to on-field & player experiences for 120M members of the Marriott BonVoy travel program.

• PepsiCo is acquiring the CytoSport supplements brand from Hormel, which includes the Muscle Milk line.

• MLS Los Angeles Galaxy has signed a deal naming Mescal El Silencio, a specially crafted mezcal label based in Los Angeles, as an official partner for the team and its venue, Dignity Health Sports Park. The alliance, being called the first mescal deal for a pro sports team, includes a Mezcaleria El Silencio bar on the main concourse.

• MLS FC Dallas has signed a pact naming Heineken as the official import beer for the club and Toyota Stadium. The alliance also make Heineken USA a founding partner for the National Soccer Hall of Fame, which recently opened in Toyota Stadium.

• Lisa Borders, who in October resigned from her position as president for the WNBA to become president and CEO for Time’s Up, has now resigned from that position, citing family situations.

A-Rod, Jalen Rose Front Competition To Create Ultimate Custom Jeep Wrangler

MTV had Pimp My Ride and CMT does Trick My Truck.

Now, Jeep has Jeep Wrangler Celebrity Customs.

As part of a multi-media campaign to support its new vehicles, Jeep has created a six-episode Web series and added some well-known personalities to front the goings-on: Alex Rodriguez, Jalen Rose, Maria Menounos and Andrew Steinthal and Chris Stang from restaurant media platform The Infatuation.

In the series, which is hosted by former NBA star and current ESPN commentator Rose, Rodriguez, Menounos, Steinthal and Stang team up with customizers West Coast Customs (A-Rod), DCD Customs (Menounos), AutoCraft NYC ( Steinthal and Stang) and Jeep Performance Parts to build their dream 2018 Jeep Wrangler.

Jeep Wrangler Celebrity Customs is part of the brand’s new marketing campaign encompassing digital, social and experiential elements.

The first Webisode of Jeep Wrangler Celebrity Customs broke today.

The following five Webisodes will debut Sept. 11, Sept. 13, Sept. 18, Sept. 20 and Sept. 27.

The final installment takes place at a special reveal event in Los Angeles where all four celebrity contestants will be in attendance as the customization challenge winner of the Wrangler Golden Grille Award is named, according to Jeep.

Following the naming of the winner,  people can vote online for a Fan Favorite Award. Voting will take place at Jeep.com from Sept. 27-Oct. 5.

People can watch to track the progress of the the competitors via Jeep brand's social channels, including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook; as well as on each celebrity's social channels,

According to Jeep, “The winner not only gets bragging rights, but will keep the Jeep Wrangler they've customized, which no doubt will turn heads wherever they go.”

"It's been thrilling to compete in the first ever Jeep Wrangler Celebrity Customs," former MLB All-Star and current ESPN/Fox analyst Rodriguez said in a statement.

"Ryan and his team at West Coast Customs are building me the perfect ride — a Wrangler that keeps up with both my business and my lifestyle. I'm certain those guys are going to help me knock it out of the park!"
