Stephen Curry-Warriors, LeBron-Lakers Lead NBA Sales At Season Mid-Point

January 20, 2023: The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers are both far from the top in the standings, but both are leading the NBA when it comes to sales of jerseys and team merchandise.
Stephen Curry (Warriors) and LeBron James (Lakers) are have the top two spots, respectively, in jersey sales among all players; and the Lakers and Warriors are eNo. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in team merchandise sales.
The NBA and National Basketball Players Assn. said results are based on NBAStore.com sales for the first half of the 2022-23 regular season.
Curry claims the top spot on the jersey ranking list for the first time since the 2017-18 NBA season.
James had the No. 1 spot since figures released at the end of the 2018-19 season showed him having the best-selling jersey in his first season with the Lakers.
Sales figures were not disclosed.
The Top Five players in jersey sales also include Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks) and Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets).
At No. 6, Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies) has his highest ranking on the most popular jersey list, according to NBAStore.com sales.
The Top Five in team merchandise sales also include the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls.
The Celtics and Bucks both moved up three spots on the team merchandise rankings list since the end of the 2021-22 NBA regular season.
