NBA Unveils 75th Anniversary 2021-22 Opening Week, Xmas Day Schedule

August 17, 2021: The NBA today unveiled the national television game schedule across TNT, ESPN and ABC for Kia NBA Tip-Off 2021 and Christmas Day for its 75th Anniversary Season.
The first four days of the season (Oct. 19-22) will feature eight national TV games, with TNT and ESPN airing two doubleheaders each.
The NBA will feature five games on Christmas Day for the 14th consecutive year, with ESPN or ABC televising each matchup.
The NBA said complete game schedule and broadcast schedules for TNT, ESPN, ABC, NBA TV and ESPN Radio for the 2021-22 season will be unveiled Aug. 20 and include several milestone matchups that celebrate “NBA 75.”
The 2021-22 season is scheduled to begin Oct. 19 on TNT when the defending NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks host the Brooklyn Nets, followed by the Golden State Warriors visiting the Los Angeles Lakers.
TNT will present two opening-night games for the 26th straight season, marking Turner Sports’ 38th consecutive year of NBA coverage.
ESPN is scheduled to begin its 20th straight year of coverage on Oct. 20 with the Boston Celtics visiting the New York Knicks followed by the Phoenix Suns hosting the Denver Nuggets.
The NBA on Christmas Day begins on ESPN with the Atlanta Hawks at the Knicks, Atlanta’s first Christmas Day appearance since 1989. 
ABC’s coverage will begin with the Celtics visiting the Bucks and the Suns hosting the Warriors.
ABC and ESPN will both air the Nets visiting the Lakers.
The Christmas Day schedule will conclude on ESPN as the Dallas Mavericks visit the Utah Jazz.
The 2021-22 regular season is scheduled to run Oct. 19, 2021-April 10, 2022.
The 2022 NBA All-Star Game is scheduled for Feb. 20 in Cleveland, with TNT will televising the NBA All-Star Game for the 20th consecutive year.
The 2022 NBA Play-In Tournament is scheduled for April 12-15, followed by the start of the 2022 NBA Playoffs on April 16.
