The newly unveiled logo for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympics Games combines two iconic symbols associated with the Games – a gold medal and the Olympic torch – which combine to form an image of Marianne, a female figure representing the French Republic  This is the first time the Olympic logo will be shared with the Paralympic Games.

• The late golf icon Arnold Palmer will be commemorated with a Forever Stamp from the U.S. Postal Service in 2020. The stamp features James Drake's action photo of Palmer at the 1964 U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md. Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamp.

• Dr Teal's Epsom Salts has signed All Pro TE Jason Witten (Dallas Cowboys) and two-time defending Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald (Los Angeles Rams) to explain in marketing the “benefits of balancing rigorous workouts with regimented muscle recovery in order to achieve and maintain peak performance.”

• Sacramento, California's capital city, has been awarded an MLS expansion team with Sacramento Republic FC becoming the league's 29th team and beginning play in MLS in 2022. The club will build a new, $300 million, 20,100-seat soccer stadium in the downtown Railyards District. 

• The Professional Baseball Agreement between MLB and minor league teams expires at the end of the 2020 season. But if a new MLB proposal were to become reality, more than three dozen cities with affiliated minor league teams will lose those teams a year from now and thousands of minor league players will be out of work as well. Water On The Rocks: Dwayne Johnson Signs Multi-Platform Deal With Voss

July 25, 2019: To coincide with the release of his latest film, the Fast & Furious franchise spinoff, “Hobbs & Shaw,” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has signed a deal to become an investor, advisor and marketing spokesperson for Voss Water.

Voss said it would work with Johnson — calling him a “cultural leader with a finger on the pulse of what audiences want” — to expand its product line, territories including China and consumer awareness.

Financial terms were not shared.

Voss said that the inaugural collaborative innovation is planned for launch in early 2020, the brand's first in a “range of functional offerings delivering unique and meaningful health benefits to consumers.”

"I've been hydrating with Voss for years, whether on set, in the Iron Paradise, or spending time with my family and friends,” Johnson said via the company. “This partnership is a natural evolution as I look to partner with exceptional brands looking to innovate and impact the globe with sustainable best in class deliverables.

“I’m thrilled to have evolved my genuine passion for Voss into a formal business investment and work with their exceptional leadership team, to create new products and develop strategic brand initiatives and collaborations.”

A "Live Every Drop" marketing campaign — which Voss called  its “largest consumer-facing advertising and social media campaign in years” — featuring Johnson will “exemplify the mentality that you get out of life what you put in, sharing an intimate, behind the scenes glimpse of how Johnson puts in the work to defy limits every day.”

The campaign will launch via outdoor, digital and social media throughout major markets, beginning in the U.S. on Aug. 5 (“Hobbs & Shaw” opens nationwide on Aug. 2, also starring Jason Statham).

Voss said it would also benefit from Johnson's “deep knowledge and expertise in culture-shifting marketing through ongoing branding consultations and collaborations.”

"We're thrilled to be aligning with a partner who so genuinely embodies the Voss brand vision," Ariel Boorstin, global director of marketing for Voss, said via the company.

"Johnson's commitment to putting in the hard work it takes to live well, acting with purpose, and inspiring greatness, is precisely the ethos of 'Live Every Drop.'

Boorstin said that “as one of the world's most influential talents, Dwayne Johnson will play an instrumental role with Voss moving forward — supporting an expanded brand vision as we stretch into new categories and territories, and extending the reach of our core, shared values."

Johnson, who rose to national fame with the WWE  and is now the highest-paid actor in Hollywood — taking in more than $89 million over the past year, according to Forbes — has his own massive consumer audience.

That includes 151 million followers on Instagram, more than 57 million followers on Facebook and 13.6 million followers on Twitter.

"We are going to build great things together,” said Johnson.

Voss said the source of its product comes in Iveland, a sparsely populated area on the southern tip of Norway, and is available in more than 50 countries.

Voss’ Flavored Sparkling line is available in the U.S.,Canada, Mexico, U.K., EU and Australia.
