"It is rare to be in the presence of guys from the greatest team in NBA history. So, we're pretty lucky, because we've one of those players in the house today — Steve Kerr from the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls." — President Obama on Thursday honoring the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors but singling out head coach Steve Kerr. This was Kerr's fourth trip to the White House as an NBA champ, having been there twice with the Bulls and once with the San Antonio Spurs

Fitzgerald, Polamalu Get Cover Honors For EA's Madden NFL 10

April 24, 2009: Electronic Arts said that Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu will both be featured on the cover of Madden NFL 10, set to hit retail shelves on Aug. 14. Both players played in Super Bowl XLIII, won by the Steelers. The game is usually released with a big marketing splash, such as past events in New York's Times Square or California's Rose Bowl, but support for this year has not yet been unveiled. This would be the first time in the 21-year history of the Madden NFL franchise that two athletes will share the cover. In addition, Fitzgerald will be the second athlete to be featured on both the Madden NFL cover and NCAA Football cover (NCAA Football 2005) after Shaun Alexander. Madden NFL 10 will be available for the Xbox 360 video game system from Microsoft, PlayStation2 and PlayStation3 computer entertainment systems, Wii, and PSP (PlayStationPortable) handheld entertainment system. ”Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu are exemplary examples of the epic battle between offense and defense in the NFL,” Anthony Stevenson, EA's senior product manager, said in a statement. “Madden NFL 10 showcases the 'Fight For Every Yard,' and nobody fights harder than Troy and Larry, making them the perfect athletes to grace the cover.” Back to Home Page
