ESPN Game-Planning MegaCasts For CFB Playoffs, New Year’s Six Bowl Games

December 16, 2022: ESPN has mega-plans for this season’s College Football Semi-Final Playoff games and National Championship, as well as the other Bowl Games that are part of the New Year’s Six.

Across all New Year’s Six games, ESPN said it would provide people with nearly 40 different presentations.

The College Football Playoff Semifinals MegaCast main telecasts on ESPN Dec.31 will feature more than 50 cameras inside State Farm Stadium (Glendale, Ariz.) for the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl and Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta) Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

In addition, MegaCast options include:

• Command Center (ESPNU): A multi-angle presentation, which includes up to four different vantage points at any one time, with real-time player and team statistics supplementing the game action.

• AT&T 5G SkyCast (ESPNews): A view from above the action and behind the offense on most plays. Replays will be shown every time the main telecast shows a replay, while never losing the look from Skycam.

• Field Pass with The Pat McAfee Show (ESPN2): McAfee, will be on the sidelines for both semifinal games, joined by a rotation of ESPN analysts, notable personalities and celebrities.

• All-22 (ESPN App): Watch the game the same way players and coaches study film, with a vantage point high above the field of play. The angle allows for the 22 players on the field to be seen at all times, providing the ability to distinguish how plays develop while listening to the ESPN Radio call.

• ESPN Deportes (ESPN App): Spanish-language calls.

• Hometown Audio Feed: People can listen to the local radio broadcast of each of the four semifinal teams, with their audio feed synced up with ESPN’s presentation.  

• ESPN Radio (ESPN App): Broadcasts are available nationwide on more than 400 ESPN Radio stations, the ESPN App, ESPNRadio.com, SiriusXM, Apple Music, iHeartRadio and TuneIn.

• Dec. 30: Capital One Orange Bowl: No. 6 Tennessee vs. No. 7 Clemson Hard Rock Stadium, Miami 8 PM (ET)

• Dec. 31: Vrbo Fiesta Bowl: No. 3 Michigan vs. No, 3 TCU State Farm Stadium, Glendale, AZ ESPN 4 PM (ET)

• Dec. 31: Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl: No. 1 Georgia vs. No. 4 Ohio State Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta ESPN 8 PM (ET)

Dec. 31: Allstate Sugar Bowl: No. 5 Alabama vs. No. 9 Kansas State Caesars Superdome, New Orleans ESPN2 Noon (ET)

• Jan. 2: Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic: No. 16 Tulane vs. No. 10 USC Camping World Stadium, Orlando ESPN 1 PM (ET)

• Jan. 2: Rose Bowl Game: No. 11 Penn State vs. No. 8 Utah Pasadena ESPN 5 PM (ET)

• Jan. 9: National Championship: SoFi Stadium Los Angeles ESPN 7:30 PM (ET)
