ESPN Stars Get Personal To Woo Fans


Mike Golic from ESPN's Mike and Mike in the Morning" seeks some love from fansMarch 31, 2009: If listening to sports talk radio is not a match made in heaven, a new campaign from ESPN Radio may resolve those issues for you. As an extension of its “You know us. We know sports” effort, via Wieden + Kennedy, New York, three TV and two radio spots feature ESPN personalities Scott Van Pelt, Colin Cowherd, Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg, and a cameo from Jimmy Rollins of the World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies, encouraging people "to find their true matches at ESPN Radio." In addition, a Web site, www.espnradio.com/relationship, features national ESPN Radio personalities providing a personal introduction "explaining why listeners should choose them as their match" and a match-making survey. TV will run on ESPN networks and ESPN Radio stations. There will be additional on-air support in the five markets with ESPN-owned and operated stations: Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and Pittsburgh. Back to Home Page
