If You Call Dickie V A Fathead, He'll Smile And Say, 'Awesome, Baby!'

Dickie V Fathead will speak as much - or as little - as you want it to.March 4, 2010: If you are going to pick someone to debut your line of talking products, it would be hard  to avoid ESPN analyst Dick Vitale, whose distinct voice is as much a part of men's college basketball as the Duke University Blue Devil mascot and the Gonzaga cheerleaders.

To coincide with this year's NCAA Division I March Madness tournament, wall graphics company Fathead is unveiling two images of Vitale, one of which not only has his smiling features but also, via an embedded technology, enables the product to repeat several of Vitale's signature phrases. The Livonia, Mich.-based company said it would be expanding the line to other celebrities.

Support for the product includes a “You’re  A Winner Baby” sweepstakes in partnership with Dick Vitale’s Web site, www.DickVitaleOnline.com. As the real and Fathead version of Vitale would say, "It's awesome, baby!"

The sweepstakes, which runs March 5-April 8, 2010, includes such prizes as an XZipit Game Rocker, Dick Vitale autographed memorabilia and Fathead merchandise. (Full details here.)

Other catch phrases from the talking Vitalte Fathead include “Diaper Dandy,” “PTP’er” and “Dipsy-doo,Dunk-a-roo.” This is the second time Fathead has teamed with Vitale, a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, on a March Madness event.

“We could not have chosen a better ambassador of collegiate basketball than Dickie V to launch and lead off our talking Fathead Line timed with our second annual sweepstakes,” Patrick McInnis, Fathead CEO, said in a statement. “We are honored and excited to be working with him again to provide these unique experiences and opportunities to both of our loyal and passionate fans.”
