Fathead Inks Cenergy For MLB Tradeables Launch

Feb. 19, 2009: Fathead, the company whose larger-than-life sports graphics are stuck to walls nationwide, has hired advertising agency Cenergy, East Aurora, NY, on a project basis for the launch of Fathead MLB Tradeables. Fathead MLB Tradeables are 5”x7” action images of players and their team logo, and will be an officially licensed product of Major League Baseball beginning this season. Cenergy will provide "creative, marketing and business development services, including event marketing and interactive applications, to MLB baseball clubs this season. Budget was not disclosed. Fathead said it no longer is working with its previous advertising agency, Wieden + Kennedy, New York. “We believe MLB Fathead Tradeables will be a huge hit among baseball fans. They are a fresh promotional item that can be customized by player, team and sponsor,” said John Cimperman, Cenergy’s managing partner. Cenergy clients also include MLB Network, National Hockey League, Pittsburgh Penguins, Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Blue Jays, OXY Acne Solutions, Aussie Vineyards, Comcast and TBS.
