"It is rare to be in the presence of guys from the greatest team in NBA history. So, we're pretty lucky, because we've one of those players in the house today — Steve Kerr from the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls." — President Obama on Thursday honoring the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors but singling out head coach Steve Kerr. This was Kerr's fourth trip to the White House as an NBA champ, having been there twice with the Bulls and once with the San Antonio Spurs

Kevin Garnett Becomes A 'Globetrotter' In New HP Spot

May 8, 2009: He may not be in a Boston Celtics' uniform due to his knee injury, but Kevin Garnett travels around the world as the star of a TV spot breaking this weekend for Hewlett-Packard's new Pavilion dv2. In the spot, "All-Rounder," Garnett, who was just named to the 2008-09 All-Defensive First Team, is seen from the neck down holding a basketball, which then turns into a Pavilion d2v laptop. As various items morph around him, Garnett offers, "Let's see. I have to prepare for my trip to China. Got some business deals lined up. Check up on the schools I sponsor, give them some tools. Man I'm hyped about that. Do a little research on the competition (using an NBA 2K9 videogame, which has Garnett on the cover). Okay, back to work." The laptop turns back into a basketball, which he uses to take a jump shot. Previous HP ads have featured Serena Williams, Gwen Stefani and Jay-Z. Garnett is handled by the William Morris Agency.
