• The NBA London Game 2019 will feature a regular-season game between the Washington Wizards and the New York Knicks in The O2 on Thursday, Jan. 17. Marketing partners include Foot Locker, Gatorade, Nike, SAP and Tissot, with additional partners to be unveiled in the coming months.

• The Denver Broncos home field is getting a temporary name change to Broncos Stadium at Mile High. It had been Sports Authority Field at Mile High, but the national sporting goods retailer, which had been based in Englewood, Col., ceased operations in July 2016. A search for a more permanent naming rights holder is currently underway.

• Per AP Sports: Burger King in Russia ran a promotion on social media offering a lifetime supply of Whoppers to any women who become pregnant by World Cup players. The offer was then deleted, In a statement Wednesday to AP, Burger King said, “We are sorry about the clearly offensive promotion that the team in Russia launched online. (It) does not reflect our brand or our values and we are taking steps to ensure this type of activity does not happen again.”

• The PGA TOUR has signed a deal with Facebook to distribute exclusive Saturday and Sunday live competition coverage, on a free basis, from eight tournaments leading into the FedExCup Playoffs for the 2017-18 season. Airing on Facebook Watch in the U.S., coverage begins at the Travelers Championship on June 23-24. Other events in 2018 include: Quicken Loans National; A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier; John Deere Classic; RBC Canadian Open; World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational; Wyndham Championship; and The Northern Trust.

Active Dreamers Shows How Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant Sleep At Night

May 18, 2016: Stating that it wants to "inspire kids to dream bigger and fulfill their dreams," Active Dreamers, a Los Angeles-based bedding company, has signed a deal to sell NBA-licensed blankets and pillowcases with adorned with images of league stars.

The first official NBA Bedding Collection features a dozen NBA stars, including two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, John Wall, Chris Paul, James Harden and Curry's Golden State Warriors teammates, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

To support the launch, Active Dreamers has unveiled a "Dream Bigger" effort, including Internet and social media, intended to "inspire and encourage the youth to fulfill their dreams."

The brand has also teamed with Curry for a "Dream to Win" giveaway offering a pair of Curry Under Armour signed shoes. (Details here.)

"In the social media world we live in, now more so than ever, authenticity is the common thread in successful brands," Mark Mastrandrea, Active Dreamers president, said in a statement. "Stephen Curry is someone who exemplifies our 'Dream Bigger' mentality to the fullest."

According to Curry, "I am proud to be a part of a brand whose goal is to inspire the youth to Dream Bigger. Active Dreamers and I want every kid across the world to know dreams come true."

The company was founded by Jack Paul McClinton III, who played college hoops at the University of Miami (Fla.) and was a second round pick by the San Antonio Spurs in 2009, but spent his pro career overseas before playing a year in the NBA D-League (2012).

In 2014, along with NBA vet Carlos Boozer, he founded Loaded Dock, a clothing line for men.

McClinton, a native of Baltimore, said he wanted to create a collection that would inspire the next generation of basketball players.

"At every level, I was told I wasn't going to make it," said McClinton in a statement. "This is a brand for dreamers like me and a product that encourages kids to envision themselves as their favorite NBA player and manifest their dreams."

Each Active Dreamers blanket is reversible. One side features the life-size image of a player from the neck down in his respective NBA uniform. Anyone sleeping under the blanket appears to be wearing that player's uniform

The other side shows an NBA replica Active Dreamers Dream Court. Pillowcases have the image of each respective player's head.

The blankets are composed of a liquid repellant fabric and finished with a mesh binding, making it the ultimate sports blanket. SMRP is $129.99.

Each blanket also comes with a complimentary Dream Poster.
