JetBlue Thinks Green (Monster) In Red Sox, Fenway Park Promotion

December 14, 2009: JetBlue, which has been an official partner of the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Park since 2008, has unveiled a promotion that will send people from Boston to any of the 32 destinations served by Logan Airport. JetBlue this month expanded service to the Caribbean and recently unveiled plans to grow departures from Boston by 30% in 2010.

Now through Jan. 31, 2010, people are being asked to solve clues and determine "Where's Wally Jetting?" The big green mascot representing Fenway Park's Green Monster left field wall will leave one clue per week, such as, "After I checked into my flashy hotel, I walked down the strip to see the bright lights, I stopped at a couple of all-you-can-eat buffets while I was at it. Next I hit the tables. I think I've got a pretty good poker face."

The grand prize is two round-trip flights from Boston to any of JetBlue's nonstop destinations served from Logan. In addition, all non-winning entries received throughout the seven weekly entry periods will be eligible to win one grand prize package that includes four round-trip JetBlue flights for travel from Boston to any nonstop destination and four Green Monster tickets to a 2010 regular season Boston Red Sox game. The promotion is open to residents of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

"Everyone wonders what Wally does in the off season," Marty St. George, svp-marketing and commercial strategy for JetBlue, said in a statement. "Between cleaning up his locker, catching up on his mail and following the winter baseball meetings, he also takes the time to relax and enjoy jetting to JetBlue's 32 nonstop destinations from Boston."

JetBlue is also the official airline of such teams as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Clippers, Florida Marlins, Buffalo Bills and New York Jets, as well as the Boston Marathon.
