MillerCoors Scores, A-B Gets Kicked At Chicago's Toyota Park

April 29, 2009: MillerCoors has replaced Anheuser-Busch InBev as the domestic beer sponsor at Toyota Park, home of Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire. Terms of the two-year pact were not revealed. The deal was signed with Toyota Park and not the Fire because Anheuser-Busch is the official beer sponsor of MLS, according to the story in the Chicago Tribune. Miller Lite signage will be included in a newly created Miller Lite Party Deck located on the south side of the stadium as well as other areas, and Miller Lite logos will be placed on stadium maps and other promotional materials. However, only A-B signage can be placed within 15 seating rows of the field for TV purposes, an MLS spokesman told the Tribune. In the Party Deck, fans of drinking age will have access to unlimited Miller Lite beer and stadium snacks, for 1 1/2 hours before each game and then during the first 20 minutes of the game. Toyota Park concessions can refuse beverage services if patrons seem intoxicated, Becky Carroll, vp-communications for the Fire, told the Tribune. Back to Home Page
