NBA Unveils Finalists, Award Winners For 2023-24 League Honors, All-NBA Teams

May 22, 2024: The NBA has revealed finalists for the awards that honor top performers in the 2023-24 season.
TNT will the name the winner of each award during its coverage of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.
Award winners are highlighted in bold below.

• All-Rookie Team
San Antonio Spurs forward-center Victor Wembanyama, the 2023-24 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, and Oklahoma City Thunder forward-center Chet Holmgren have been unanimously selected to the 2023-24 Kia NBA All-Rookie First Team by a global panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.
Joining Wembanyama and Holmgren on the Kia NBA All-Rookie First Team are Charlotte Hornets forward-guard Brandon Miller, Miami Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski.
The Kia NBA All-Rookie Second Team consists of Dallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II, Houston Rockets guard-forward Amen Thompson, Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George, Oklahoma City guard Cason Wallace and Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson II.
• J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award
C.J. McCollum of the New Orleans Pelicans has won the 2023-24 J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award. The honor is presented annually by the Professional Basketball Writers Assn. to a player, coach or athletic trainer who shows outstanding service and dedication to the community.
All-Defensive Team
Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert, the 2023-24 Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year, has been unanimously selected to the 2023-24 Kia NBA All-Defensive First Team. Joining Gobert are San Antonio Spurs forward-center Victor Wembanyama, Miami Heat center-forward Bam Adebayo, New Orleans Pelicans forward-guard Herb Jones and Los Angeles Lakers forward-center Anthony Davis.
The NBA said Wembanyama is the first rookie to be selected to the Kia NBA All-Defensive First Team (which has been named annually since the 1968-69 season).
The 2023-24 Kia NBA All-Defensive Second Team consists of Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso, Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs, Boston Celtics guards Derrick White and Jrue Holiday, and Minnesota forward Jaden McDaniels.
Kia NBA Most Valuable Player May 8

• Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets Nikola Jokić is the recipient of the Michael Jordan Trophy as the 2023-24 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player. Jokić has been named the Kia NBA MVP for the third time (2020-21, 2021-22).
Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year May 7
• Bam Adebayo, Miami Heat
• Rudy Gobert, Minnesota Timberwolves Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert is the recipient of the Hakeem Olajuwon Trophy as the 2023-24 Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year. Gobert is the third player in NBA history to win the award four times (2020-21, 2018-19 and 2017-18) joining Dikembe Mutombo and Ben Wallace.

Basketball Executive of the Year April 30 Brad Stevens, Boston Celtics president of basketball operations, has been named the 2023-24 NBA Basketball Executive of the Year.
Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year May 1 Mike Conley, Minnesota Timberwolves, has won the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award for the second time, having previously earned the honor in 2018-19.
Hustle Award May 2 Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso has been named the winner of the 2023-24 NBA Hustle Award. The Award honors a player who "makes the effort plays that do not often appear in the traditional box score but help determine team success. Hustle statistics include deflections, loose balls recovered, charges drawn, screen assists, contested shots and box-outs."
