NBA’s Hottest Tickets: Knicks, Lakers, Raptors, Celtics, Warriors, Clippers

October 11, 2022: The New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors, last season’s NBA finalists Boston Celtics and the defending champion Golden State Warriors top the list of the league’s hottest tickets entering the 2022-23 season.
Overall, NBA teams across the league are in demand with “nearly every team seeking an increase in demand for the new season, which is commanding over 65% greater ticket sales compared to this time last year, according to ticket marketplace StubHub.
The Knicks moved ahead of the Lakers as StubHub's No. 1 best-selling team for the first time in StubHub's five season previews.
"The new NBA season is seeing a massive 65% jump in ticket sales on StubHub compared to last year, anchored by New York and Los Angeles teams," Adam Budelli, StubHub spokesperson, said via the company.
"With the lifting of COVID restrictions that impacted the start of last season in some major markets, the Warriors and Raptors return to prominence on this year's list of top-selling teams and join the Celtics, (Cleveland) Cavaliers and (Dallas) Mavericks in contributing to increased demand across the league."
Figures are based on cumulative StubHub ticket sales as of Oct. 7.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have seen the biggest jump in ticket sales, up more than 650% over last season.
The Warriors are second, with sales up nearly $40%.
New York and Los Angeles teams play in nine of the season's Top Ten games and account for nearly 40% of all NBA ticket sales, according to StubHub.
The Warriors and Knicks top the list of most in-demand games, when Golden State visits New York on Dec. 20.
The No. 2 most in-demand game is the LA Clippers at Lakers on Oct. 20 during Kia Tip-Off Opening Week.
The Lakers are also in the No. 2 most in-demand game during Opening Week when they visit the Warriors on NBA Opening Night (Oct. 18, TNT) and No. 3 when they host the Portland Trail Blazers (Oct. 23).
The NBA’s Xmas Day schedule is already drawing big interest.
That includes the No. 3 most in-demand game Philadelphia 76ers at the Knicks, No. 6 the Lakers at Dallas Mavericks and No. 10 Milwaukee Bucks at Boston.
