March 14, 2024: The roads to the NCAA Div. I 2024 basketball titles lead to Phoenix (men) and Cleveland (women), and Nissan puts pedal to the metal with some interesting passengers.
An official NCAA partner, Nissan has unveiled its March Madness campaign, “It’s March Madness Season,” which, as in previous years, is filled with a brigade of college mascots, who this time manage to engage the masses with help from musician/actor/producer Ludacris.
In a series of spots, Nissan has the mascots encouraging people in work places, fitness gyms and even on pickleball courts to focus on what is more important: the March Madness tournaments.
The effort supports the company’s new line of vehicles, including the Rogue, Pathfinder and all-electric Ariya.
It comes with an opportunity to win a ’24 Rogue by filling out an official Bracket Challenge. (Details here.)
The spots play out to “Get Back” by Ludacris, and you know it’s serious when he raps, “Get back get back/I ain’t playin’ around/Make one false move and I’ll take you down.”
Creative will air across TV — including official NCAA March Madness broadcast partners ESPN, ABC, CBS and Turner Sports networks — as well as digital and social media.
Nissan has its own online destination for its March Madness coverage.
In “It’s Madness Season: Office,” Nissan asks, “Working hard or March Madness-ing harder?”
A woman in an office who wants to join in on March Madness is suddenly inundated with a massive amount of paperwork. The Nissan crew of College Mascots come to the rescue and drive her away in an all-electric Ariya.
“It’s Madness Season: Fitness” offers, “We interrupt this workout to bring you March Madness."
A routine day in a fitness gym turns into a massive rush to see March Madness games when the College Mascots arrive in a Nissan Rogue.
In “It’s Madness Season: Pickleball,” it’s “Game time. Not like pickleball game time—like March Madness game time.”
The College Mascots take pickleball players off the court to a much better March Madness court in a Nissan Pathfinder.
NCAA partners include corporate champions AT&T, Capital One and Coca-Cola; and Buffalo Wild Wings, Buick, Geico, Great Clips, Intuit Turbo Tax, Invesco QQQ, LG, Marriott Bonvoy, Nabisco, Nissan, Pizza Hut, Reese’s, The Home Depot, Unilever and Wendy’s.
