May 4, 2009: Most race cars are loaded front to back with sponsor logos, but Office Depot and Tony Stewart figure there is room for one more. Office Depot, the official office products partner of Nascar, and Tony Stewart have teamed for a promo seeking the “official small business of Nascar, courtesy of Office Depot.” The winner will have its company name or logo featured on the No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice Chevy driven by Stewart during the Pep Boys Auto 500 Nascar Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sept. 6, which will be nationally televised by ESPN. The winner will also receive a $14,000 small business makeover from Office Depot, the right to use of the “official small business of Nascar courtesy of Office Depot” logo until June 1, 2010 and other prizes. Office Depot will support with print, online and POP featuring Stewart. Office Depot also will award one $1,400 Office Depot gift card every day during the sweepstakes promotional period. “We are thrilled to be able to provide one small business owner with a unique opportunity to leverage the tremendous popularity of Nascar by putting their business on the Office Depot race car," Jeff Herbert, svp-marketing for Office Depot, said in a statement.
