Porsche Enrolls For Multi-Year Partnership To Activate With Ivy League

February 8, 2018: The Ivy League has signed a multi-year alliance naming Porsche an “official partner of the Ivy League.”

Porsche will have a year-round presence at championships and other Ivy League events, including the the Ivy League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments in the Palestra on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, March 10-11.

As part of the deal, Porsche becomes an official sponsor of Penn Athletics.

Financial terms of the pact were not disclosed.

JMI Sports, the official marketing rights agency of the Ivy League, negotiated the agreement with Porsche Cars North America and Excel Sports Management.

JMI Sports has also reached agreements for the Ivy League with Coca-Cola, Nike, Citizens Bank and Under Armour.

“I am delighted to welcome Porsche as a partner of the Ivy League,” Robin Harris, executive director for the Ivy League, said in a statement.

“Our student-athletes thrive on challenge and push themselves to be the best they can be on and off the field. We are excited to work with an organization that shares our values.”

Ivy League schools are Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton and Yale.
 
According to Jacob Harb, vp-Area East for Porsche Cars North America, “On behalf of all our Porsche dealers, employees and customers, we are proud to support the Ivy League ideals of excellence in academics and athletics.”
