Shaq Vs. Gronk, Artists, Marketers Will Party For A Purpose: Fighting Social Injustices

June 18, 2020: Shaquille O’Neal and Rob Gronkowski are big men on campus wherever they appear, and when they get together really big things happen.
O’Neal, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer and NBA on TNT commentator and analyst, and Gronkwoski, the newly signed tight end for the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will join forces for Shaq’s Funhouse vs. Gronk Beach presented by The General Insurance, a "virtual party with a purpose to benefit social justice.”
Scheduled for June 27, the planned three-hour platform is aimed at raising money and awareness, with proceeds going to the NAACP Empowerment Programs and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Shaq’s Funhouse vs. Gronk Beach will air live (8 PM ET) on numerous platforms, including a dedicated Web site, Tik Tok, Facebook, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube.
In addition to presenting partner The General, for which O’Neal is a spokesman, partners include Papa John’s (where O’Neal is a member of the board, an investor in several locations and a marketing figure), Rocket Mortgage, Buffalo Wild Wings, McCormick Grill Mates, Monster Energy, Yappa, ShandyRays and DoorDash.
DoorDash add it would donate one meal for each live-stream viewer, up to 1.25 million meals.
Musical guests are scheduled to include Snoop Dogg (also a spokesman for The General), Carnage, DaBaby, Diplo, Steve Aoki and O’Neal as "DJ Diesel." Actor JB Smoove will host.

Shaq and Gronk will go head-to-head in a series of challenges, including a game of H*O*R*S*E, lip-syncing, jousting, a sports obstacle course, steak grilling and eating chicken wings.
Team Shaq is supporting the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
Team Gronk is supporting the NAACP Empowerment Programs.
