Sharapova Shows Her Style With Cole Haan

Feb. 10, 2009: Tennis star Maria Sharapova will be featured in a multi-media campaign to support Cole Haan's 2009 spring collection. The men's and women's footwear, accessories and outerwear brand is a subsidiary of Nike. The effort, oversee in-house, will debut in the March issue of Vanity Fair and will include print in national women's magazines as a mix of single page, spread and four-page insert executions. The campaign also includes Internet and OOH on bus shelters, busses and billboards. "The campaign marks the first time Cole Haan has collaborated with a Nike athlete to serve as the face of a new collection," Michael Capiraso, CMO for Cole Haan, said in a statement. "We are able to leverage her interest in fashion and sport, while connecting with our consumer in a new and unique way." Sharapova said she is designing a line of handbags and shoes that will come out this fall. "I love the fact that [Cole Haan] brings fashion into sports-inspired wear." Back to Home Page
