January 13, 2016: Jordan Spieth, the No. 1 ranked golfer in the world and the highest-paid golfer in 2015, has signed a deal with Coca-Cola to appear in marketing and participate in other activations for the global soft drink brand.
Financial terms of the multi-year pact were not shared.
Spieth, who turns 23 in July, took in $53 million last year, with $23 million in winnings and the rest from endorsements and other off-the-course interests, according to Golf Digest.
Tiger Woods, who had been atop the list for about a decade, was third on the list with $48.5 million total, only $1 million from golf winnings behind No. 2 Phil Mickelson at $52.3 million.
In 2015, Spieth, who turned 22 in July, won The Masters and The U.S. Open Championship, and earned the year-end PGA Tour FedEx Cup via a victory at the Tour Championship by Coca-Cola.
He also has deals with Under Armour, AT&T, Rolex, NetJets and Titleist.
According to Coca-Cola, the new multi-year partnership will feature Spieth in TV ads, digital and social media, point-of-sale, out-of-home, experiential marketing, packaging and elsewhere.
Spieth will also promote the company’s Dasani water brand.
"It's very cool to be working with Coca-Cola," Spieth says in a spot unveiling the alliance. "What a fantastic relationship and time we are going to have. I have always enjoyed the product. It is an honor, but also a responsibility that Coke is putting their trust in me."
In addition to promoting Coca-Cola throughout the PGA Tour season, Spieth will become a member of Coca-Cola’s 6-Pack of Olympians and Paralympians during the run up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, with golf returning to Olympic competition for the first time since 1904.
"Representing the United States of America in the Olympics, when you think about the audience, it is so widespread, so massive. It can do so much for the game of golf and for our country and my brand personally," said Spieth."I am going there representing so much more than myself."

Spieth began the 2016 season where he left off in 2015, winning win at the 2016 Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawaii, at 30 under par.
