Are You Man Enough To Wear Brett Favre's Jeans? How About Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s?

September 23, 2009: Wrangler wants to put you in a wardrobe alongside its two biggest spokesmen, but don't expect to meet Brett Favre or Dale Earnhardt Jr. in person. The promotion,“Wrangler Face Off,” has another limitation: it is open only to men 18 years and older.

The 12-week contest, which is now underway, will award a grand prize of $2,500 cash and a new Wrangler wardrobe to the man voted on by the public at large as the "ultimate Wrangler guy." Promotional partners include Wal-Mart, Kmart and Target.

Men eligible for the contest are being asked to upload a personal photo and to answer a "short set of questions designed to give contestants the opportunity to prove why they should be named a Wrangler man." These profiles will be showcased on the “Wrangler Face Off” Web site, where all are welcome to vote. Each week the man whose profile receives the most votes will be named as a Wrangler guy and will receive a pair of Wrangler jeans with $100 cash in the back pocket. He will also be featured on the contest site for the following week alongside photos of Wrangler spokesmen Earnhardt Jr. and Favre.

Voting for the first weekly showdown officially starts Sept. 25. At the end of three months, the 12 weekly winners will face off against each other, and the Wrangler  guy whose profile receives the most overall votes will win the grand prize. Full details are at

“Wrangler has two great partners and ambassadors in Dale Jr. and Brett because they both truly represent the brand’s core values of integrity and authenticity,” Craig Errington, vp-marketing for Wrangler, a division of VF Jeanswear Limited Partnership, said in a statement. “Now we want to recognize and award fans who are known for those same principles and who have what it takes to be named the quintessential Wrangler man.”  Back to Home Page
